一、Pollution的用法
pollution是pollute的名词形式，作为名词一般表示一种被污染的状态，或者意指“垃圾”。一般用污染来源或者被污染物+pollution的组合构成表示污染的词组，eg：light pollution，air pollution等等。
其动词形式pollute，不及物动词常用短语：pollute sth by/with sth
例句：The river has been polluted with toxic waste from local factories.
